Ongoing Problem

An ongoing problem over the past month is that any one of my spreadsheets on my iPad wont open. Ive deleted the app and then reinstalled it several times but the problem persists. Its very frustrating. I do hope this glitch can be corrected soon.

iCloud / iCloud Drive FIASCO!!!

I have waited and waited for Apple to fix this, but no. Even the iOS 9.3 update did not fix this, nor have they updated Numbers. Numbers is now useless to me in that ALL my files that were stored in iCloud are not accessible UNLESS you update to iCloud Drive. BUT, if I update to iCloud Drive then I LOSE iCloud between my iPad1 and all my other Apple devices. ZERO compatible between all my apps, between all my Apple devices SIMPLY so I can access my Numbers files. grrrrr. Well, OBVIOUSLY I will not make this choice. But guess what, I no longer can access my Numbers files which are ARE in iCloud (not iCloud Drive). Apple, your customer have older devices that they rely on iCloud to link in-between. Why would I invest in future Apple devices with this situation?

Some errors

I use the app and also for the Mac for our business..numbers for both has a unique issue..if a cell is 24 hr time (2300) and the next cell is 24 hr time (0100) and the calculated minutes should equate 120 minutes.. But Numbers in either OS will not calculate to 120. It calcs to -1320.. Stupid crap..

Fizzled

Started well, templates were easy to use and edit. Started acting sluggish, stopped auto saving, stopped working, lost my data, became totally useless. No amount of troubleshooting worked.

Too temperamental

Awkward and not consistent. I got through doing a copy/paste 5 or 6 times and then it just quit working. The first time I got back on track by restarting the program. The second time, nothing I could think of fixed the problem. Lots of wasted time. Formula entry is very awkward as well, in my opinion, as is fill option (2-step for range of multiple rows and columns).

Collaboration via IPhone to IPhone impossible

Would be better if the shared documents would automatically update in each device in the collaboration. If this feature is available, it is currently not working.

Not even syncing

Ridiculous, never seen such a crap thats called cloud drive but does not even sync 99% of the time.

Much better than Excel

I build very complicated spreadsheets with Numbers and it works great. You have to get away from thinking about sheets and start thinking about tables. You can do some very sophisticated things with Numbers that are very cumbersome with other spreadsheet products. Im not going to blame the faults of iCloud on numbers.

Please add features

1). Fingerprint recognition. 2). Sum of selected cells. 3). Ability to lock cell text characteristics. 4). Move the "undo" button away from the "spreadsheets" button.

Very simple

Very efficient for quick and easy bar graphs, pie charts or whatever for reports. I needed a graphic to compare some numbers for a company based off of a survey I gave to a few hundred people and it was so quick to throw the numbers in the chart and have a graph instantly.

Superb Spreadsheet

I dont understand the negative reviews below. Numbers is a powerful, sophisticated, and easy-to-use spreadsheet that has only gotten better in every release. I have set up many spreadsheets for my own use - including a fairly large Monte Carlo simulation and a monthly calendar that formats itself according to the month using the functions built in to Numbers. It still amazes me that this kind of power and capability is possible on a cell phone. And iCloud synchronization works fine for me - though there were a few glitches at the beginning that had more to do with me learning the capabilities of the system than with iCloud itself. ***** A spreadsheet - unlike a database - has to load ALL of its data into memory when it is opened. Trying to run a large spreadsheet in a low memory environment is going to end badly. If this describes you, then try to cut down the size of your spreadsheet and close any apps that are running in the background, or get a device with more memory. ***** Numbers is NOT the desktop version of Microsoft Excel with every possible formatting option, pivot tables, and Solver. If you need that kind of capability then stay with Excel on the desktop. Numbers has a comprehensive set of formatting options, and is getting better with each release. If a formatting option like colored borders is not available, then find an alternative way to format the cells. There are many options. Or stay with Excel on a desktop computer. In short, Numbers is a superb spreadsheet with a powerful and sophisticated feature set. Spend a little time learning its capabilities and then design your spreadsheet according to what Numbers can do well, not according to a preconceived notion of what you think it ought to be able to do. Kudos to the developers.

Update please!!!

I use this app on a daily basis and recently every time I use it its useless! I can now only make changes on the computer because anything I edit on the app doesnt update the actual file. Fix the problem please!!

iCloud not recommended for Pages and Numbers

This is a very good app and has a quite complete suite of functions that are easy to use. However, if I have a problem, the only way to let Apple know is to write a review. Ive emailed them but of no avail. When I print several sheets double-sided in Numbers, you never know what youll end up with. I set it to print Sheet 1 through 3 double sided. I end up with Sheet 1 and Sheet 3 front and back and the 3rd page was Sheet 1 again. The double-sided print needs fixing!!! I have an HP Pro 8610.

Not Useable for Data Entry

Thought I could enter some data in a spreadsheet created on my Apple computer -- WRONG. The date column would not stay a date column and had to double-click on the column each time I needed to enter the date. Using an Apple Bluetooth keyboard seemed okay except that tapping the TAB key skipped some columns without any reason. After 5 rows of data entry this was to annoying to even want to use. Will think better of buying an Apple App in the future.

Dont bother

Terrible. Apple wont fix a long standing (3 yr) problem with iCloud sync that freezes Numbers in updating files It leaves you unable to access and use your files.

Not The Best, But Okay

Ive currently been using numbers for my school work, but I cant seem to open it. Every time I click on the icon, it shows me a blank page with the tab bar up top, and then crashes. So now, Im incapable of accessing my files on numbers
